Radical Reduction!
It's a workout to make our radicals sleek and trim.
If the radicand (the stuff underneath the radical symbol) contains any perfect squares, these may be taken out using fancy-pants properties from algebra, and combined with any pre-existing coefficients on the radical (a coefficient is the pre-multiplier on the radical).
Typically, math teachers want their irrational answers written in 'simple radical form'. (How irrational of those math teachers!)
How about putting your radicals on a weight reduction program!?
This app was a major upgrade from the previous version in terms of responsiveness. Check out the former and compare/contrast, especially on a mobile device.
Additionally, some improvements were made in the PHP Radical class that provided comma separators in the output to make it easier to read.
Note: The text fields in the form below are of type: number. This, along with the step attribute of 'any' makes them numerically versatile, but restricted otherwise. We ♥ you, HTML5!
