The prime directive...No, nothing to do with Star Trek this time...

Ofttimes in mathematics, we need to be able to factor a number. Yawn. If a number has exactly 2 unique factors, it is said to be prime. Prymus tells you whether a number is prime or not, and if it isn't, it will tell you all the prime factors that makes it a 'composite.'

Prime numbers are often used in encryption scenarios so they are not totally lame. Eratosthenes came up with an algorithm to find prime numbers, known as the Sieve of Eratosthenes. Another Greek mathematician, Euclid, had a lot to say about primes too.

What about one? Is it prime?

Did you notice how we added commas to our number outputs? There was a built-in PHP function that did that for us! PHP functions help us function more efficiently! If you saw no commas, try a larger number! Moral: ALWAYS look for a built-in function before you write your own solutions
